Regular Season Round 6: Hopsi Polzela - Rogaska 84-75

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Rogaska (3-3) was defeated on the road by third ranked Hopsi Polzela (5-1) 84-75. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-15. But Rogaska won second period 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hopsi Polzela forced 20 Rogaska turnovers. Guard Zan Kosic (185-93) notched 21 points to lead the effort and Alen Hodzic (192-92) supported him with 17 points and 5 assists. Five Hopsi Polzela players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 9 rebounds by Bosnian power forward Dragan Djuranovic (203-88) did not help to save the game for Rogaska. American point guard Dee Davis (183-93, college: Xavier) added 12 points. Hopsi Polzela have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Helios and Zlatorog. Rogaska at the other side keeps the seventh place with three games lost. Hopsi Polzela's next round opponent will be Krka (#4) in Novo Mesto. Rogaska will play at home against Portoroz and hope to win that game.
