Everything went according to plan in Mugla where second ranked Bodrum (7-1) outscored 9th ranked Urla BLD (5-4) 72-46 on Wednesday. Bodrum forced 21 Urla BLD turnovers and outrebounded them 43-18 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Asli Sevinc (178-79, agency: LBM Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and American guard Shay Selby (175-90, college: Duke) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Bodrum players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Megan Kritscher (195-89, college: Sacramento St.) with 13 points and Ayse Gurcavdi (-85) scored 5 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bodrum have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Bodrum maintains second place with 7-1 record behind leader Bornova. Loser Urla BLD keeps the ninth position with four games lost. Bodrum will face 55 Genclik (#19) in Samsun in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Urla BLD will play at home against Edremit (#3) and hope to win that game.
