Regular Season Round 9: Phoenix Galati - CSU Sibiu 81-90

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked CSU Sibiu (5-3) beat on the road 9th ranked Phoenix Galati (1-6) 90-81. It looked good early as Phoenix Galati took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then CSU Sibiu had a 19-14 second period charge getting the lead and Phoenix Galati was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 81-90. CSU Sibiu players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Phoenix Galati was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American power forward Chris Cooper (205-90, college: ODU) nailed 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Marcel Davis (188-94, college: Utah Valley) accounted for 17 points and 5 assists. Serbian swingman Milos Bojovic (198-81, agency: 011 Sports) came up with 20 points and American point guard Jamel Waters (180-93, college: Alabama St.) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Phoenix Galati in the defeat. Five CSU Sibiu and four Phoenix Galati players scored in double figures. Phoenix Galati's coach Florin Nini tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
