Regular Season Round 10: Final Genclik - Afyon 76-88

Not a big story in a game when 17th ranked Final Genclik (2-8) lost to third ranked Afyon Bld (8-2) in Bursa 76-88 on Friday. Afyon Bld made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for center Barbaros Bozkurt (210-88) who helped to win the game recording 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). American point guard Mustafa Shakur (192-84, college: Arizona) contributed with 9 points and 9 assists for the winners. Nigerian center Kenny Adeleke (205-83, college: Hartford, agency: SDJ Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 21 rebounds and American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead) added 20 points in the effort for Final Genclik. Four Final Genclik players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Afyon Bld have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-2 record behind leader Sakarya BSB, which they share with Istanbulspor. Final Genclik lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with eight games lost. Afyon Bld will face league's leader Sakarya BSB in Sakaraya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Final Genclik will play on the road against Istanbulspor (#4) and hope to win that game.
