Regular Season Round 10: Wusterhausen - Hannover Korb. 81-108

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked Hannover Korb. (2-2) crushed 7th ranked Wusterhausen (2-4) in Wildau 108-81 on Saturday. Hannover Korb. made 28-of-36 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Wusterhausen was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for British guard Rishi Kakad (188-87, college: Hawaii-Pacific) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) (made all of his eight free throws). Lithuanian guard Zygimantas Simonis (192-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized French Souleymane Diallo (194-88) replied with 21 points and forward Dmitrij Hasenkampf (193-86) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Wusterhausen. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Wusterhausen's coach Hadi Zalzadeh gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Hannover Korb. moved-up to sixth place in North. Wusterhausen lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with four games lost. Hannover Korb. will face Weser Bsk/BTS (#9) in Neustadt in the next round.
