There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked TED Ankara (5-5) edged on the road 11th ranked Yalova Vip (5-5) 61-58 on Saturday. TED Ankara forced 22 Yalova Vip turnovers. Merve Alkis (172-94) fired 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian-American power forward Ayesha Barkley (188-87, college: Stetson, agency: Gamble Sports Management) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Barkley is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American center Akila McDonald (193-91, college: S.Florida) produced 6 points and 20 rebounds and forward Ebru Torun (-87) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Yalova Vip's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. TED Ankara have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Yalova Vip. TED Ankara will face Nevsehir Uni (#18) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
