Regular Season Round 10: Ansbach - Schwabing 66-80

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Ansbach (3-6) lost at home to sixth ranked Schwabing (5-4) 80-66 on Saturday. Schwabing made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Ansbach turnovers. It was a very good performance for forward Oscar Da Silva (206-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. Chris Wurmseher (192-97) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Naturalized Croatian point guard Goran Petrovic (184-77) replied with 16 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Nick Freer (198-85, college: Grand Valley St.) added 15 points in the effort for Ansbach. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Schwabing have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position in South-East with 5-4 record, which they share with Vilsbiburg. Ansbach lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with six games lost. Schwabing will face Zwickau (#8) at home in the next round. Ansbach will play against Vilsbiburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
