Regular Season Round 10: Herzogenaurach - Oberhaching 64-78

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Herzogenaurach (3-6) lost at home to twelfth ranked Oberhaching (3-6) 78-64 on Saturday. Oberhaching dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Herzogenaurach's 20. They outrebounded Herzogenaurach 39-17 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for forward Frieder Diestelhorst (201-87) who helped to win the game recording 27 points. American guard Omari Knox (188-86, college: Bloomfield) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Robert Zinn (197-95) replied with 12 points and Austrian swingman Michael Kaiser (195-82) added 12 points in the effort for Herzogenaurach. Herzogenaurach's coach Benni Aumeier rotated twelve players and allowed the starting five to rest. Oberhaching moved-up to ninth place in South-East, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Herzogenaurach. Oberhaching will face higher ranked Jena II (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
