Regular Season Round 10: Sakarya BSB - Bandirma Kir. 92-76

TBL top team - Sakarya BSB (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Bandirma Kir. (4-6) in Sakaraya 92-76. It was a great shooting night for Sakarya BSB especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Bandirma Kir. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Charles Jackson (208-93, college: Tenn Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Yigitcan Turna (187-87) contributed with 14 points and 9 assists for the winners. Talat Alp Altunbey (204-94) replied with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Nigerian center Tonye Jekiri (213-94, college: Miami, FL) added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Bandirma Kir.Five Sakarya BSB and four Bandirma Kir. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sakarya BSB have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record, which they share with Eskisehir Basket. Bandirma Kir. at the other side dropped to the tenth place with six games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Sakarya BSB is looking forward to face Afyon Bld (#3) in Afyonkarahisar in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Bandirma Kir. will play at home against Akhisar Bld (#13) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
