Regular Season Round 11: Heidelberg - Kirchheim 71-87

An interesting game for Kirchheim Knights (10-1) which played road game in Heidelberg against 4th placed MLP Academics Heidelberg (7-4). First ranked Kirchheim Knights had an easy win 87-71. Kirchheim Knights made 20-of-20 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American guard Carrington Love (186-94, college: Green Bay) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 7 assists (on 6-of-6 shooting from the field). Center Andreas Kronhardt (205-89) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Croatian point guard Hrvoje Kovacevic (190-86) answered with 25 points and 4 assists and American point guard Vance Hall (193-91, college: Bellarmine) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for MLP Academics Heidelberg. Five Kirchheim Knights and four MLP Academics Heidelberg players scored in double figures. Kirchheim Knights have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-1 record, which they share with MBC. MLP Academics Heidelberg at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Hanau and Chemnitz. Kirchheim Knights is looking forward to face Baunach (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MLP Academics Heidelberg will play against Nuernberg (#12) in Nurnberg and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
