Regular Season Round 15: Palanga - Rasai 66-90

Very expected game when 9th ranked Palanga (6-9) was rolled over at home by third ranked Rasai (11-4) 90-66 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Rasai. Palanga was better in second period 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rasai had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Rasai especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Sarunas Vingelis (191-89) who scored 24 points and 5 assists. Point guard Tomas Galeckas (183-94) chipped in 7 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Rasai players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian forward Kadeem Green (206, college: Ryerson, agency: Interperformances) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and center Antanas Bertasius (205-94) added 23 points respectively. Rasai moved-up to second place, which they share with Nafta-Uni. Loser Palanga keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Rasai will face Silute (#6) at home in the next round.
