Regular Season Round 10: Leipzig - Elchingen 85-86

Tenth-ranked USC Leipzig (2-8) made lots of trouble for second ranked Elchingen (7-2) on Saturday. The visitors from Elchingen managed to secure only one-point victory 86-85. However their fans expected much easier game. Elchingen forced 20 USC Leipzig turnovers. Forward Brian Butler (196-91) fired 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Kristian Kuhn (208-87, college: N.Arizona) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Elchingen's coach Dario Jerkic used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized Israeli guard Guy Aud (186-89) added 14 points and 13 assists respectively for lost side. Four Elchingen and five USC Leipzig players scored in double figures. Elchingen have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position in South with 7-2 record behind leader Bernau. USC Leipzig at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with eight games lost. They share the position with Noerdlingen. Elchingen are looking forward to face Giants (#12) in Noerdlingen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. USC Leipzig will play on the road against Licher Basket and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
