Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Lisboa: Benfica B (#4) and Belenenses CF (#6). Benfica B (5-3) won against visiting Belenenses CF (2-5) 66-59. The best player for the winners was center Ricardo Monteiro (208-97) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Sergio Silva (193-96) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five Benfica B players scored in double figures. Benfica B's coach Joao Tavares used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Aylton Medeiros (194-88) produced 19 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Ricardo Rosa (193-92) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Benfica B moved-up to third place in Group South, which they share with Estoril Basket. Loser Belenenses CF dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Benfica B will meet league's leader Barreirense in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Belenenses CF will play against the league's second-placed Terceira (#2) and hope to secure a win.
