Muglaorman has finally registered their first victory this season after ten consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Duzce Belediye (3-8) 70-67 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American center Marvin Jefferson (206-86, college: Idaho) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Soykan Yikilmaz (185-92) chipped in 17 points. Swingman Cihan Amasyali (191-83) produced 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American-Puerto Rican point guard TreVon Hughes (183-87, college: Wisconsin) added 11 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for the guests. Duzce Belediye's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Muglaorman maintains eighteenth place with 1-10 record. Duzce Belediye at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Pertevniyal and Yalova Bld. Muglaorman will meet league's second-placed Eskisehir Basket in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Duzce Belediye will play against Gelisim (#10) and hope to secure a win.
