Regular Season Round 7: Cherno More - Levski 100-78

Cherno More can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Levski (1-6) 100-78 on Saturday. Cherno More dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Levski's 38. Cherno More forced 26 Levski turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Stanislav Tsonkov (192-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Forward Aleksandar Yanev (203-98) helped adding 21 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side the former international swingman Pavel Ivanov (200-88, agency: Interperformances) responded with 32 points and 5 rebounds and the former international center Krum Doychinov (206-86, agency: Interperformances) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Levski players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cherno More (1-5) left bottom position moving up to eighth place. It was Levski's fifth loss in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. Cherno More will meet higher ranked Yambol (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Levski will have a break next round.
