Regular Season Round 6: Sezana - Grosuplje 65-57

Very predictable result when top-ranked Sezana (6-0) defeated at home 7th ranked Grosuplje (2-3) 65-57. It looked good early as Grosuplje took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Sezana had a 16-13 second period charge getting the lead and Grosuplje was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 57-65. They outrebounded Grosuplje 49-29 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Gasper Jordan Rojko (200-96) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Milan Kovacevic (200-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian center Sani Ibrahim (207-82, college: Gulf Coast CC) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and forward Matic Sirnik (198-91) added 14 points in the effort for Grosuplje. Four Grosuplje players scored in double figures. Sezana have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Ilirija. Grosuplje at the other side keeps the seventh place with three games lost. Sezana's next round opponent will be Crnomelj (#9) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Grosuplje will play against Konjice and hope to win that game.
