No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Oliveirense (5-3) beat 11th ranked Lusitania (2-6) in Angra 78-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. Oliveirense led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Oliveirense forced 20 Lusitania turnovers. American forward James Ellisor (195-90, college: Bemidji St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 5 rebounds. The other American import swingman Carlos Morris (196-92, college: Minnesota, agency: AproK Sports Group) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Oliveirense's coach Ricardo Rodrigues used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Naturalized Angolan forward Antonio Monteiro (204-89) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Anthony Holliday (191-92, college: Lamar) added 19 points in the effort for Lusitania. Oliveirense moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Illiabum and Vitoria SC. Lusitania lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Oliveirense will face league's second-placed FC Porto Ferpinta on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Lusitania will play against the league's leader Benfica (#1) and hope to win that game.
