Not a big story in a game in Noerdlingen where 11th ranked Giants (2-8) were outplayed by first ranked Karlsruhe PS (9-1) 99-76 on Saturday. Karlsruhe PS shot 65.5 percent from the field. Karlsruhe PS outrebounded Giants 35-22 including a 27-8 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Giants were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Dmitrj Kreis (187-88) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners. American forward Jordan Talbert (198-91, college: Missouri So.) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Adrien Coleman (198-91, college: Beth.-Cookman) produced 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard Terence Smith (193-91, college: Mississippi) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Karlsruhe PS have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Newly promoted Karlsruhe PS maintains first position in South with 9-1 record. Giants lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with eight games lost. Karlsruhe PS will face Bayer Giants (#4) in Leverkusen in the next round. Giants will play on the road against the league's second-placed Elchingen (#2) and hope to win that game.
