Samsun has registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Osmaniye (2-3) 67-55. Samsun players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Montenegrin-American swingman Eshaya Murphy (181-85, college: USC) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds. Ukrainian-Bulgarian center Viktoria Mircheva (190-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Dutch forward Chatilla Van Grinsven (190-89, college: St.Joseph's, agency: LBM Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and American center Aneika Henry-Morello (193-86, college: Florida) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Osmaniye. Samsun (1-4) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with Besiktas and Hatay. It was Osmaniye's third loss in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with three games lost. Samsun's next round opponent will be higher ranked Mersin MBK (#8) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
