Braunschweig has finally registered their first victory this season after eight consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat TuSLi Berlin (1-8) 67-65 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 18-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Felicia Barron (170-90, college: Quinnipiac) scored 31 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Ilona Brox (175-91) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Nyara Sabally (185-0) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Annalena Blume (180-96) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Braunschweig left bottom position moving up to tenth place in North, which they share with defeated TuSLi Berlin. Braunschweig will face higher ranked B.Loewen (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
