No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Mersin Gelisim (7-4) beat at home 12th ranked Yalova Vip (5-6) 73-56 on Sunday. Mersin Gelisim dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Yalova Vip's 30. Mersin Gelisim forced 22 Yalova Vip turnovers. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mersin Gelisim moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Mersin Univ. Loser Yalova Vip keeps the twelfth position with six games lost. Mersin Gelisim will face Nevsehir Uni (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Yalova Vip will play against Orduspor (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
