Regular Season Round 9: Krivbas-2 - Zolotoi Vek 90-63

An interesting game for Krivbas-2 (6-2) which hosted in Kryvyi Rih second-best Zolotoi Vek (5-3). Third ranked Krivbas-2 had an easy win 90-63. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Zolotoi Vek. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Krivbas-2. Zolotoi Vek managed to win third quarter 25-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Krivbas-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Zolotoi Vek's 34. Krivbas-2 forced 23 Zolotoi Vek turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Guard Evgeni Sergeychik (185-94) nailed 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and power forward Artem Vodolaztcky (194-92) accounted for 18 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Andriy Kulish (205-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and forward Olexandr Drobiazko (196-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Zolotoi Vek in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Krivbas-2 moved-up to second place. Loser Zolotoi Vek dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Ternopil-TNEU. Krivbas-2 will meet Kremen-2 (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Zolotoi Vek will play against Niko-Basket (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
