Very predictable result when third ranked Goettingen (8-1) smashed at home 9th ranked Osnabruecker (3-8) 65-41 on Sunday. The game without a history. Goettingen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Osnabruecker to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Goettingen held Osnabruecker to an opponent 24.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Trinidad and Tobago center Verdine Warner (196-92, college: Shaw) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Czech guard Katarina Flasarova (171-85) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Goettingen will face league's leader Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
