Bottom-ranked TH Wohnbau Angels managed to get a third victory. This time they won against ninth-ranked Eisvogel Freiburg in Noerdlingen 77-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Eisvogel Freiburg. Eisvogel Freiburg was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 47-35 second half run of TH Wohnbau Angels. They made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. American swingman Kristen McCarthy (182-90, college: Temple) replied with 22 points and 4 assists and her fellow American import center Shakeya Leary (189-90, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) added 7 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Eisvogel Freiburg. TH Wohnbau Angels (3-7) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Freiburg and BG 89 Avides. TH Wohnbau Angels will play against bottom-ranked Fireballs (#12) in Bad Aibling in the next round. Eisvogel Freiburg will play at home against Rotenburg/Scheessel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
