The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Gmunden Swans as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Gmunden Swans defeated their biggest opponent Raiffeisen Wels at home 78-73. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-73.
