No shocking result in a game when second ranked Stade (6-1) crushed on the road 8th ranked Rendsburg (2-5) 72-52 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-52. Stade dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Rendsburg's 22. Stade forced 23 Rendsburg turnovers. It was a good game for Spanish forward Damian Cortes Rey (194-96) who led his team to a victory with 24 points. American guard Mason Biddle (185-93, college: Western St.) contributed with 5 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American swingman Martell Collins (196-93, college: SW Oklahoma St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and center Christopher Geist (208-95) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rendsburg. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Stade keeps a position of North leader, which they share with RW Cuxhaven. Loser Rendsburg dropped to the tenth place with five games lost. Stade will face Wusterhausen (#11) in Wildau in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
