Regular Season Round 11: Bamberg - Rhein MB 55-43

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Rhein Main Baskets (4-6) were defeated on the road by second ranked Don Bosco Bamberg (7-3) 55-43. The game was mostly controlled by Don Bosco Bamberg. Rhein Main Baskets was better in second period 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Don Bosco Bamberg dominated on the defensive end, holding Rhein Main Baskets to just 5 points in third quarter. Don Bosco Bamberg forced 22 Rhein Main Baskets turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for forward Svenja Zeis (176-87) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Mara Muender (173-92) accounted for 7 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Lyndi Laborn came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Elisabeth Dzirma (178-94) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Rhein Main Baskets in the defeat. Don Bosco Bamberg maintains second place in South with 7-3 record having just two points less than leader Wolfenbuettel. Rhein Main Baskets at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Don Bosco Bamberg's next round opponent will be Weiterstadt (#5) at home.
