Important game to mention about took place in Klaipeda. Third ranked Nafta-Uni. (13-5) saved a 1-point victory at home edging second-best Suduva-Mantinga (12-4) 83-82 in the fight for the second place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Suduva-Mantinga. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Suduva-Mantinga was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Suduva-Mantinga was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for point guard Deividas Anuzis (182-92) who saved his team from a defeat with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Viktoras Chodosovskis (200-89) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international Aurimas Kieza (199-82, college: Hofstra) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and guard Evaldas Saulys (190-93) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Suduva-Mantinga. Five Nafta-Uni. and four Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. Nafta-Uni. moved-up to second place. Suduva-Mantinga at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Nafta-Uni. will play against Silute (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Suduva-Mantinga will play against Telsiai (#4) in Telsiu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
