Rather predictable result in Pasvalys where seventh ranked P.Zvaigzdes (6-8) smashed 9th ranked Nevezis (4-10) 92-72 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by P.Zvaigzdes. Nevezis managed to win third quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. P.Zvaigzdes looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Derrick Low (191-86, college: Washington St., agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 29 points and 4 assists. Osvaldas Olisevicius (200-93) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. American guard Jermaine Love-Roberts (188-89, college: Ill.-Springfield) produced 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Ignas Vaitkus (196-93, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Nevezis players scored in double figures. P.Zvaigzdes moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Vytautas and Juventus. Nevezis lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Dzukija. P.Zvaigzdes will meet Vytautas (#7) in the next round. Nevezis will play against Siauliai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
