A very close game took place in Funchal between CAB Madeira and Boa Viagem. Fifth ranked CAB Madeira (5-3) got a very close home victory over one of their biggest challengers Boa Viagem (5-3). CAB Madeira managed to escape with a 2-point win 58-56 in the fight for the fourth place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Boa Viagem. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 58-56. CAB Madeira moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Boa Viagem and Uniao Sportiva. CAB Madeira will meet Lousada (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Boa Viagem will play against the league's second-placed Olivais (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
