Important game to mention about took place in Giessen. Fifth ranked Krofdorf/Gleib. (7-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 4th placed Osnabruck SC (7-2) 62-60 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Osnabruck SC. Osnabruck SC was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 20-10 third quarter run of Krofdorf/Gleib.. They made 20-of-22 charity shots (90.9 percent) during the game. American guard Erin Bratcher (175-92, college: Charleston So.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 8 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Chelsea Small (185, college: Indiana St.) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners. Four Krofdorf/Gleib. players scored in double figures. American guard N'Dea Bryant (183-94, college: N.Carolina) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Swedish forward Mikaela Gustafsson (188-93, college: Maine) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Osnabruck SC. Osnabruck SC's coach Mario Zurkowski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Krofdorf/Gleib. have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Krofdorf/Gleib. maintains fifth place in North with 7-4 record. Osnabruck SC at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Krofdorf/Gleib. will play against Braunschweig (#11) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Osnabruck SC will play against Baskets Grunberg (#7) in Gruenberg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
