Regular Season Round 9: Gaziantep - Anadolu Efes 70-75

Very predictable result when third ranked Anadolu Efes (8-1) defeated on the road 10th ranked Gaziantep (3-6) 75-70 on Sunday. Gaziantep was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Uruguayan-Italian guard Jayson Granger (189-89) stepped up and scored 14 points and 6 assists for the winners and American forward Derrick Brown (203-87, college: Xavier) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Granger is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and Canadian-American guard Andrew Rautins (193-86, college: Syracuse) scored 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Anadolu Efes keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Banvit BK. Loser Gaziantep keeps the tenth place with six games lost. Anadolu Efes will face Pinar Karsiyaka (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Gaziantep will play against Trabzonspor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
