It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Oliveirense. The hosts were ahead by 7 points but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 19-12 run, which allowed them to win the game. American center Nick Washburn (208-91, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) nailed a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Pedro Bastos (186-94) accounted for 15 points and 6 assists. Washburn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward James Ellisor (195-90, college: Bemidji St.) came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Arnette Hallman (200-88) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Oliveirense in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. FC Porto Ferpinta have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Galitos-Barreiro. Oliveirense at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Vitoria SC. FC Porto Ferpinta will play against Illiabum (#4) in Ilhavo in the next round. Oliveirense will play on the road against Sampaense in Coimbra and hopes to get back on the winning track.
