Regular Season Round 9: Aabyhoj - Lemvig 53-72

Lemvig can celebrate finally their first win this season after seven consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Aabyhoj, where they outplayed Aabyhoj (1-6) 72-53 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Lemvig led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was American forward Erin McDonnell (185-93, college: Harvard) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Bulgarian guard Maria-Magdalena Kolyandrova (166-97) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American Mariyah Henley who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Katrine Pedersen (175-0) added 11 points respectively. Despite that victory Lemvig went down to seventh position due to points difference. It was Aabyhoj's sixth loss in a row. They dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. Lemvig are looking forward to face higher ranked Stevnsgade (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aabyhoj will play against the league's leader Virum where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
