The game in Klosterneuburg was also quite interesting. Second ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart (8-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Dukes (3-7). Redwell Gunners Oberwart did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 74-55 on Thursday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dukes. Dukes were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Redwell Gunners Oberwart dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Dukes' 20. Redwell Gunners Oberwart forced 21 Dukes turnovers. The winners were led by American point guard Derek Jackson (185-91, college: Kent St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) who scored that evening 20 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and the other American import guard Andell Cumberbatch (196-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four Redwell Gunners Oberwart players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds by international center Jozo Rados (208-93) did not help to save the game for Dukes. International Romed Vieider (195-91) added 17 points and 7 rebounds. Redwell Gunners Oberwart have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Loser Dukes dropped to the bottom place with seven games lost. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will meet at home UBSC Graz (#6) in the next round where they are favorite.
