Regular Season Round 12: Arkadia - Vienna 62-78

Bottom-ranked Vienna managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the three-game losing streak. This time they won against fifth-ranked Arkadia Lions in Traiskirchen 78-62. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 16-point difference suggests that Vienna is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The game was mostly controlled by Vienna. Arkadia Lions was better in third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Anthony Clemmons (186-94, college: Iowa) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) who added 25 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Florian Trmal (199-89, agency: Dynamics Global Management) with 22 points and 7 rebounds and guard Benedikt Guettl (190-94) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Vienna (4-7) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Furstenfeld. Arkadia Lions at the other side keep the fifth position with six games lost. Vienna will play against league's second-placed Gmunden Swans in Gmunden in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Arkadia Lions will have a break next round.
