Regular Season Round 9: SISU - Amager 70-82

Date: December 8, 2016
The game in Copenhagen was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Amager (4-3) played at the court of 5th ranked SISU (2-7). Amager defeated SISU 82-70. The game was mostly controlled by Amager. SISU was better in second period 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Amager forced 19 SISU turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for Filipino-American forward Kelly Hardeman (183-94, college: Azusa Pacific) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Catharina Jensen (182-89) contributed with 22 points and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Ciara Andrews (175-94, college: St.Joseph's) answered with 21 points and 4 assists and the other American import guard Jazmine Redmon (173-91, college: Gonzaga) added 11 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for SISU. Four SISU players scored in double figures. SISU's coach Morten Thomsen rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Amager maintains third place with 4-3 record having four points less than leader Virum. SISU lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with seven games lost. Amager will play against league's second-placed Horsholm on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SISU will have a break next round.
