Regular Season Round 19: Telsiai - Rasai 86-54

Sixth defeat of league's leader Rasai (14-6) against fifth ranked Telsiai (12-6) 86-54 was the most important game of the last round. The game was mostly controlled by Telsiai. Rasai managed to win fourth quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Telsiai dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Rasai's 36. They outrebounded Rasai 44-26 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Audrius Maneikis (203-84, college: Motlow St. CC) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds. Gintautas Kybartas (201-94) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Telsiai players scored in double figures. Point guard Tomas Galeckas (183-94) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Sarunas Beniusis (206-93) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Rasai. Telsiai moved-up to fourth place. Rasai at the other side dropped to the third position with six games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Suduva-Mantinga. Rasai will play next round against Zalgiris II trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Telsiai will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Delikatesas in Joniskis.
