Regular Season Round 10: Besiktas - Tofas 76-63

Very expected game in Istanbul where 13th ranked Tofas (3-7) was defeated by fourth ranked Besiktas (8-2) 76-63 on Saturday. Serbian center Vladimir Stimac (210-87, agency: Interperformances) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. American forward Earl Clark (208-88, college: Louisville) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Besiktas players scored in double figures. Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic (196-94, agency: BeoBasket) produced 15 points and the former international point guard Baris Ermis (194-85) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Besiktas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Fenerbahce and Banvit BK. Newly promoted Tofas dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. Besiktas will face Banvit (#4) in Balikesir in the next round. Tofas will play at home against TED Kolejliler (#16) and hope to win that game.
