We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Giessen 46ers (7-7) lost at home to ninth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (7-6) 68-62. EnBW Ludwigsburg players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American guard Drew Crawford (196-90, college: Northwestern) fired 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import swingman Kelvin Martin (195-89, college: Charleston So.) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Justin Sears (203-94, college: Yale) produced 10 points and 7 rebounds and British-Canadian forward Thomas Scrubb (198-91) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. EnBW Ludwigsburg moved-up to eighth place. Giessen 46ers at the other side dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg's next round opponent will be higher ranked Bayern Muenchen (#3) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Giessen 46ers will play against EWE Baskets (#7) in Oldenburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
