Regular Season Round 14: Akhisar Bld - Final Genclik 87-81

Rather predictable result when twelfth ranked Akhisar Bld (6-8) defeated at home 16th ranked Final Genclik (3-11) 87-81. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Akhisar Bld players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward Tyler Smith (200-86, college: Tennessee) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Cenk Sekeroglu (203-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian center Kenny Adeleke (205-83, college: Hartford) replied with 6 points and 20 rebounds and American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead) added 24 points in the effort for Final Genclik. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Akhisar Bld moved-up to eleventh place. Final Genclik at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with 11 games lost. Akhisar Bld's next round opponent will be league's leader Sakarya BSB in Sakaraya and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Final Genclik will play at home against Mamak DSI (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
