Regular Season Round 13: Bad Aibling - Jena II 80-71

Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Jena II (6-6) lost on the road to second ranked Bad Aibling (10-2) 80-71 on Saturday. Bad Aibling had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Jena II was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for guard David Bergfeld (-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. Serbian center Miljan Grujic (206) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Bad Aibling players scored in double figures. Point guard Konrad Glueck (187-95) answered with 14 points and Slovakian Jakub Kadasi (197-99) added 14 points in the effort for Jena II. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Bad Aibling. Newly promoted Bad Aibling maintains second place in South-East with 10-2 record having just one point less than leader Coburg. Jena II lost their third game in a row. Jena II at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Bad Aibling will face Bayreuth 2 (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Jena II will play against Treuchtlingen (#3) and hope to win that game.
