Regular Season Round 14: Baunach - Koeln Rh.Stars 77-85

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Baunach (4-10) lost at home to eleventh ranked Koeln Rh.Stars (6-8) 85-77 on Saturday. American forward Chris Eversley (201-91, college: Cal Poly - SLO) notched 16 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Hugh Robertson (195-89, college: S.Florida) supported him with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Koeln Rh.Stars' coach Arne Woltmann used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Even a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) by center Leon Kratzer (210-97) did not help to save the game for Baunach. Slovenian point guard Aleksej Nikolic (191-95) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Koeln Rh.Stars moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Hamburg. Baunach lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Ehingen. Koeln Rh.Stars will meet ETB Wohnbau (#15) in the next round where they are favorite. Baunach will play against MLP Academics Heidelberg and hope to secure a win.
