Regular Season Round 9: Levski - Yambol 80-73

Bottom-ranked Levski managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of five consecutive losses. This time they won against sixth-ranked Yambol in Sofia 80-73. It was a good game for the former international swingman Pavel Ivanov (200-88, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). The former international forward Stanislav Slaveykov (198-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Ventsislav Petkov (188-91, agency: Interperformances) answered with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Stoyan Petkov (198-85) added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Yambol. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Levski maintains ninth place with 2-6 record. Yambol lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with five games lost. Levski's next round opponent will be higher ranked Spartak Pleven (#7) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
