TBL top team - Sakarya BSB (13-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat ninth ranked Turk Telekom (7-7) in Sakaraya 93-80. They outrebounded Turk Telekom 44-29 including 18 on the offensive glass. Sakarya BSB looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Forward Kerem Ozkan (201-88) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Hakan Yapar (202-84) chipped in 20 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. American center Gene Teague (206-89, college: Seton Hall, agency: HMS) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) scored 18 points. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom's coach Gencer Baytimur rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sakarya BSB have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record, which they share with Eskisehir Basket. Turk Telekom lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Bandirma Kir.. Sakarya BSB is looking forward to face Akhisar Bld (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Turk Telekom will play against Acibadem and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
