The game in Wien supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Gmunden Swans (9-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Vienna (4-8). Gmunden Swans smashed Vienna 88-62 on Monday. The game without a history. Gmunden Swans led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Vienna's 38. American guard Alex Wesby (198-80, college: Temple) fired 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized German power forward Tilo Klette (206-77) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Gmunden Swans players scored in double figures. Coach Bernd Wimmer's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Serbian Predrag Miletic (193-84) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Anthony Clemmons (186-94, college: Iowa) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Gmunden Swans maintains second place with 9-3 record having just one point less than leader Oberwart. Loser Vienna keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. Gmunden Swans will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Vienna will play against Kapfenberg Bulls (#4) and hope to secure a win.
