Regular Season Round 21: Telsiai - Petrochema 86-54

Very expected game in Telsiu where 13th ranked Petrochema (5-16) was rolled over by fourth ranked Telsiai (14-7) 86-54 on Friday. The game without a history. Telsiai led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Petrochema's 32 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was power forward Mindaugas Norkus (200-85) who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Ignas Razutis (185-87) chipped in 11 points and 9 assists. Four Telsiai players scored in double figures. Coach Augenijus Vaskys's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Mintautas Bulanovas (191-96) who recorded 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Karolis Sarukas (198-95) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Telsiai moved-up to third place, which they share with Rasai. Petrochema lost their third game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Telsiai will face KTU (#9) in Kaunas in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Petrochema will play at home against Rasai (#4) and hope to win that game.
