Very expected game in Ankara where 16th ranked Istanbulgucu (4-12) was crushed by eighth ranked Cankaya (10-5) 91-60 on Friday. Cankaya dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Istanbulgucu's 18. Cankaya forced 28 Istanbulgucu turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Istanbulgucu's players. Hande Celebi (-90) fired 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Ilknur Dumlu (176-89) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists. Four Cankaya players scored in double figures. Gamze Dulegoz (-96) produced 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Gizem Uca (170-94) added 11 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cankaya moved-up to sixth place.
