Regular Season Round 15: Istanbulspor - Socar Petkim 76-82

The game between third ranked Istanbulspor (11-4) and fifth ranked Socar Petkim (10-5) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Istanbulspor was defeated by Socar Petkim in a tough game in Istanbul 76-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Istanbulspor. The best player for the winners was American point guard T.J. Campbell (175-88, college: Portland) who scored 38 points (!!!). Bosnian power forward Kenan Bajramovic (206-81) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Walter Lemon Jr. (190-92, college: Bradley) who recorded 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and the other American import Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Istanbulspor's coach Hakan Yavuz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Socar Petkim have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Istanbulspor keeps the third position with four games lost. Socar Petkim is looking forward to face Final Genclik (#16) in Bursa in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Istanbulspor will play on the road against Duzce Belediye (#17) and is hoping to win this game.
