Proliga top team - Dragon Force (10-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Guifoes (4-7) 73-62. They outrebounded Guifoes 42-24 including 31 on the defensive glass. Cape Verdean center Kevin Clay Gomes (209-95) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Agenor Rolo (193-95) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Dragon Force players scored in double figures. Goncalo Madureira (182-98) answered with 19 points and 6 steals and swingman Pedro Meireless (193-95) added 14 points in the effort for Guifoes. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragon Force have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group North with 10-1 record. Loser Guifoes dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Dragon Force will face Esgueira / Oli (#4) at home in the next round.
